Do cokes letter?

Do they letter as targets or something more specific? I assume the term "coke" is an aftermarket moniker.

Cokes or coke bottle stocks are terms coined by collectors. Stocks usually letter as checkered target stocks made of Goncalo alves or target stocks, etc.

The answer given is basically correct. You do expect to see them on 44 Mags, and 41 mags. If they don't have them on early guns, the assumption is they've been changed out. And while not always, any other gun with them on is suspect. Not conclusive, just suspect.
