Do the magpul ranger plates and the magpuls work on the 15-22 mags?

I'm thinking that it would be cool to put some Magpul ranger plates on the 15-22 mags, I want to know if they'd even work with the magazines. Also, do the magpuls fit on the magazines, they say that they're for 5.56/2.23.

The ranger plates will not work. They work by removing the existing floor plate from the 5.56 magazines and replacing them with the Magpul plates. The 15-22 "plates" are half the size of the ranger plates.

Tacticool22.com sells Ranger Tabs for the 15-22 that are similar and allow the same functionality and somewhat the same appearance.

Smith & Wesson M&P15-22 Ranger Tab/Plate - Black [GRIPP-BLACK] - $5.50 Tacticool22, Parts and Accessories for .22 Caliber Firearms

As far as the original Magpuls, they work fine. They are a little harder to get on than the .223 magazine, but they do work.

I've got them on my AR mags, it makes them easier to get out of the mage pouch as they are still a tight fit.

They don't fit the 15-22 magazines as kingfhb has said and as he stated if you absolutely positively have to have them then Tacticool22.com is a great place to get them even though they are kind of pricey. I've never had a problem getting the 15-22 mags out of my pouch like my ar magazines which fit low and tight. The original Magpul magazine enhancements will work as in his photo. Besides I have too may 15-22 magazines to pay about $6.00 each for them. But for a cool factor they make it.

Older pic of my 15-22, but shows the GRIPP tabs in use on 25 & 10 round (short) mags. If nothing else, the GRIPP tabs are good for identifying which are your mags on the range; there are at least 5x 15-22s at my club - all my mags have FG tabs, another has FDE, another one black...

The GRIPP Tabs work great. They are a little pricier than MAGPUL, but I'm pretty sure production volume is a heck of a lot lower and Martin has to pay for the tooling somehow. I have them on my 7 factory mags and will buy more for any more factory mags I buy.

Where would I find these in UK? these are what I have been looking for and so far struggled to find.

Thanks will get on to Tacticool and see what we can sort. Thanks Guys

I have the tacticool ranger plates on all my mags. All of them. Black mags got FDE, FDE mags got black. I run Magpul ranger plates on all my AR mags so it was a no brainer to do the same here.
