Koehler has a new smart toilet for $9900.00
It has a self cleaning wand to sanitize before and after.
Bidet with water temp, spray pattern and warm air dry. And a heated seat. There's a remote for something but I didn't waste my time reading it.
Do we really need this? Only if one has throw away money.
Seems like back when a flashlight, shoes and a sears catalog was needed, those were the good old days.

I don't know, I was seriously considering a $400 door lock today at Home Depot.

It was called the Lockly Vision. Camera, fingerprint, it talks, really cool keypad that scrambles the numbers so nobody can steal your code by looking. It was awesome.

$10k for a biffy? Who was it who said, "A fool and his money are quickly parted"? And in this case, probably his very personal privacy as well.

I cannot remotely imagine the need for a "smart" toilet. (In fact, for the vast majority of "smart" technology.)

I can see the advantages of a bidet; in fact, I think there was a thread on bidets some time ago. (Onomea has some experience with them as he has a place in Japan as well and they're v. popular over there.) This one might even have been mentioned as there were a couple of outrageously-priced units.

I'll stick with, as the Brits say, a bog-standard bog, thank you.

I'll bet it has...

I'll bet is has Blue tooth.

As of now I don't have anything that uses Bluetooth.

A friend of mine wanted to play CDs in his new car. The salesman said that he had to get with the times and program his phone to play through the system using Bluetooth. He said he didn't want to do that, he wanted to listen to his CDs. I don't think he went the Bluetooth route.

If it did automatic PSA tests so you could avoid colonoscopies it might be worth every penny. ;)
Sensors to record weight and heart rate and able to send dietary recommendations to the smart fridge which compiles a shopping list which is ordered online then delivered via Door Dash all while we're still deciding to fold or flower the wipes?
Scary thought ;)
