Do you display your antiques? If so, how?

Remember the Blade Savers?

Neat display of the Smith & Wesson (Wesson Products) Blade Saver which were used to hold a double edge razor blade to sharpen. I think they were around from 1923 to 1935 before pulled from production. Guess it was a slow mover.

This next one speaks for itself.

Just recently someone told me that oak and old guns do not mix well due to tanic acid from Oak.
I don't know and maybe, when sealed and finished, the issue is not important.
I once built a gun cabinet and used felt on the rack. It caused rather immediate rust on rifle barrels. I am leery of this in all uses of felt.
All in all, the above are good excuses for me not to make good displays.

Terry, I'm speachless. I'm still hoping to find just ONE nice old gun in it's original box. Here you've got a whole bookcase full! I would love to see pictures of all of those with the guns out next to the boxes....

The next time I did them out and place each one with their box, I will click some pictures and post them. My camera skills seem to be good one day and bad the next.
Not really on a bookshelf next to a picture window, thought that would get a respose or two but didn't. Safe and secure is what I like.

This old Hopkins & Allen is displayed as a gamblers special

Wow, arent those H&A derringers super rare?
Nice little gun.

I looked for a few years to find this one. Picked it up at the Baltimore MD show 6 or 8 years ago. Funny story behind this #69. My wife saw one on the front cover of the CADA magazine and made the statement "why don't you bring one home like this, it is pretty. Unlike those old ugly things you have." Well, I told her what they were going for and she changed her mind. Then I said if I found my lucky number on one I would bring it home. She agreed if I was going to be that lucky just go ahead and get it. Ten years or so later there it was! My brother saw it first and told me it was time to put my money where my mouth was.
