Do you enjoy shooting your edc weapon?

What do you carry and do you enjoy shooting it? I carry a 342Ti and it hurts to shoot it more than five rounds. I need to find another edc that is fun to shoot and carries well. Let's hear what your thoughts are.

I haven't done extensive shooting with the 642 but what I have shot was not unpleasant and I look forward to working with it more. (Primarily 130gr FMJ for training purposes.)

I enjoy shooting my Glock 19 and 26 (which are my primary EDCs) but I don't know whether you want to limit the discussion to S&W revolvers...If so, I also enjoy shooting the 3" 686+ though I only carry it occasionally. (And it's much more fun to shoot since I replaced the front sight with a fiber optic from Dawson Precision.)

Look for a CS-9-40 series. No pain with the Goodyear grips and conceals easily.

I'm carrying a Colt Lightweight Commander with 230gr +Ps this winter,


I shoot it often, if not every few days at least once a week.


Get along fine with it.


This summer, I may switch to a model 39 with +P+s


I enjoy shooting it as well.

I love shooting my EDC, a CZ PCR. I got it for the action, DA/SA decocker and no safety, but it's as much fun to shoot as my range guns.

During summer snake season, I rotate carrying revolvers (S&W 65-5LS 3", 66-4 3", Rossi-720 3") w/the 1st chamber being #12 snake shot & 2-3 spares in my pocket. The rest of the year I carry a 1970 Colt Commander.

The secret to comfort is a good holster (Lobo Enhanced Pancake) on a good belt (Wilderness).

I enjoy shooting all four immensely!

With the aforementioned quality holster/belt, step up to a K-Frame. You'll like them.

A light weight Snub will be no fun to shoot , I carry a 9mm M&P Shield. It was hard to handle a first but after several hundred rounds and practice I really like it.

I enjoy my time at the range immensely. I carry a 340sc, an early Chief's special, and a Colt Commander. I do get more rounds out of the all steel guns than the AirLite, but I enjoy them all. I can not imagine owning a gun that I did not like to shoot.

I love to shoot my EDC. It's an S&W M&P 40c. I've had it for 2 1/2 years, and I shoot it a minimum of 200 rounds a month. My goal is to become as good as I can with it. Currently, I have 8500 rounds through it, with only four FTEs/FTFs. It is an excellent range gun, comfortable and accurate to 20 yards, and it would probably be decent at 25 yards, if I spent more time shooting at that distance. As far as I'm concerned, the 40c is the perfect EDC. It is reliable and accurate, has an excellent balance of hitting power and capacity (10+1), is small enough to be pocket carried, and it shoots so well, that the owner is encouraged to practice with it.

I thoroughly enjoy shooting both my carry guns..an M&P 9c and M&P 45c. The 45 can get a little tiresome shooting when I shoot hardball factory ammo, but that doesn't happen too often.

I have been carrying a HK P30sk in my pocket and for a pocket carry gun it is great to shoot. Put 100 rds through it last week and only quit because I ran out of time.

In my rotation, I have a S&W Model 36-6, 439, a Mauser HSc, and a 1911. I have no problems with shooting either of them repeatedly. I am awaiting a S&W Model 686+ 3" that I hope will be as easy to handle as my Chief's Target Special.

I have a 340M&P that I carry all the time. I also carry a 640 both loaded with 38 spl+p loads. The 340 is more exhilarating to shoot, but the 640 is a *****cat. Either way, they have the same feel (same grips) same sights, and "feel" the same so practice with either works.
Sounds like you need a steel J frame ��

My EDC is the new-to-me M&P 340 and I shoot it, along w/my LCP, monthly to keep my skills fresh. Neither one is really fun but I've worked up a drill that the range allows. Using a paper plate at 3, 5 & 7 yards I shoot the gun dry as fast as possible, combat reload and repeat. The goal is to keep all shots on the plate.

I did shoot 357 in it once, that was enough.

I wouldn't buy one I didn't enjoy shooting! If you hate shooting it, it's going to be that much more difficult to force yourself into becoming competent with it.

My EDC is a 19-4 snub and I do enjoy shooting it... a lot. Long range sessions with .357 wears my ears o u t.
