Of the antiques, which model do you personally prefer? I am partial to the safety hammerless I think.

What are your favorite models?

Just curious,

Jay

I guess I'd have to say this ol Thunderer given to me by the last train robber in Wyoming.

OK Chip, now the rest of the story>

I met Bill when I was a kid during a card game out at the ranch.

He kept that gun on a shelf under the cash register in his tourist trap restuarant/motel.

I hung out at his place and visited with him when I was a freshman in college in Laramie.

He gave it to me when he sold the motel and moved back east with his daughter

Favorite antique: Mr Iggy -- cause he lets me shoot prairie dogs on his ranch and his stories are great!!

If it is a firearm it is my Taylor Arms 45-70 Quigley reproduction Sharps rifle. It is just fun to shot and close does count.

This H&R USRA Pistol, given to me by a very good friend who moved to a state a little less gun-friendly than Massachusetts.

The gun, sometimes called a Model 195, was made around 1936, and included most or all of the latest improvements made by Walter Roper to the original design. It has Roper-designed adjustable sight radius and Roper grips.
