Do you have a S&W model 29-10?

I recently bought a Model 29-10 with 4" barrel. I'm not a fan of the key lock, but it really is a nice revolver.

Sure, it's not like the older models.

My main complaint is I hate the grips! I'm most likely going to replace them with older target grips.

What is your take on this revolver?

Any gripes? Praises? Have you changed the grips?

It's not as pretty as the older guns and there are folks who will fuss over the lock possibly locking up the gun and the MIM being more breakage-prone on these newer guns. That said, I've run a 29-2 and 29-10 and they seem to be about as accurate and have very similar triggers. Yes(!), replacing the ugly new stocks with some classic targets made a *huge* difference in how the revolver looks and feels.
