Do you have guns at home?

Well:
It would be difficult for me to lie about this since I'm the Firearms and Militaria Appraiser on a television show.

I've read this type of forum topic before and it amazes me how many forum members are boating enthusiasts. So many boating accidents and so many good guns lost. Pretty good form of gun control.

I go to 3 different doctors and all three are involved in shooting sports. I go to a back pain Doc and, even though I hate those visits because of the treatment involved, I enjoy our conversations. None of the 3 Docs would ever ask the question. My family physician actually took a couple days off after the last Presidential election because he was so upset with the results. He also doesn't accept any Medicaid patients as well some of the low cost health plans in the area.

I've never been asked but since I went on Medicare last fall I may be as one poster mentioned. I've given it a lot of thought and think I'd just lie and say no. My doctor knows I hunt at least so should know beforehand but if it gives him an answer for his paperwork I can go along with it.

If you don't believe you're right enough to lie about it straight-faced, you lack self-confidence. Of course, that's not the only answer, but I believe that it is a good one.

NO!!!

It's just that simply.

The problem will come....when you have to answer the question on your federal income taxes. And that day will come.

I'm pretty sure when the doctor asks if you have any guns in "the home", he is referring to your original home, the first home you occupied as a newborn.

I'm currently on home number ten. Do I have any guns in "the home"?

Absolutely not!

(I just hang out here because S&W people are good folks.)

I'd tell her, no guns....

But, I have run out of that free sample of viagra ya gave me.

Ya got any more???

Answer - So this Obamacare stuff is really bad for you MD's? You having better success in the second job as a cat burglar in the evening hours? You had better watch out, I hear people actually keep loaded guns in their houses around here.

I agree the answer should be NO. Anything other could be considered a yes. Lets remeber its not the PhD that makes them smarter its because they are liberals (puke)

No guns doc, just copious amounts of the finest Colombian coke on the market.

I bring my M.D. wild hog sausage when I see him for my check-up, so I think he figured it out; but, he has never asked.

When presented with that question - and it won't always be a doctor - I say what others recommend: not relevant to my visit. I get pushback from younger doctors, but all I have to say is that I'm not answering that question (as well as a number of others) and if that is not satisfactory I will leave.

And as soon as you do they say "OK" and check yes then move on to the next question.

This is one of those questions where (IMO) any avoidance of the question will be taken as a yes. So, my default answer is no regardless. It's a lie but it's one I'm willing to tell in the interest of Opsec.

My GP has asked my advice on what type of pistol she should buy.

My Ophthalmologist who manages my glaucoma probably has more guns than I do.

My urologist I've only seen once and he didn't ask about guns. If I had told him I had one in my computer bag he probably would have thought twice about...nah, never mind.:o:o:o

If asked if I have guns in the home, I would be inclined to say no. I have neither an naval cruiser or a howitzer at my home.
