Added: 500 shipped to John Jovino Co. on June 18, 1981 with NYSP below cylinder on left side, so I reckon that's the date I'd go with. Nice!

Yeah, I know about those first 500. Unfortunately the logo is the right side under the cylinder release so not one of the early ones!

Oops! That’s what I meant. But the early ones shipped to Jovino have the S&W logo on the opposite side on the side plate.
