Does anyone have a 7.5" 629-3 Magna Classic Overrun?? 1 of 306 with TJB alpha?

Just picked up a mystery gun. 7.5" 629-3 with a 7.5" barrel. Doesn't have the "1 of 3000" on the barrel nor does it have "Classic" anywhere. I have also never seen a "TJB" alpha serial number. The book talks of some Magna Classic overruns and that's the only thing making sense at this point.

Just curious if anyone had one to confirm the alpha prefix.

Man that is really interesting! My 629-3 DX is "BKR". How do you come up with that date when I can't even find "TJB" alpha in the Smith book?

How close is your S/N to mine.

Mine is almost 4,000 higher. I've never heard of a classic or DX with that alpha. Really interesting.

Someone in this group had one back in 2009 and appears to still be active at times. I've reached out to him to see if he still has it. Fingers crossed.

Magna classic overun

I also owned one of these overun Smiths. it has a TJC serial number. has a full length shroud with a 7.5" barrel. Round butt non drilled and tapped
