Does anyone have the MP15-22 PC?

Can't comment on the PC, but for me a big part of my enjoyment has been adding options to the stock 15-22,like Timney trigger, Mag Pul grip, red dot, and I'm not done yet. I'd rather go this route than the PC route, but that just me.

My understanding of the PC is that it has, and the name escapes me at the moment, a tuned chamber, 2" on the barrel that is fluted, and is threaded. There is not much other than that done to them. Do I want one, you bet. Am I willing to pay that price for a .22lr rifle? Not really. I am waiting for the patent to run out, so others can start making aftermarket parts. Think ruger 10/22.

With the upper receiver being polymer I suspect the match chamber serves no purpose except (for bragging rights maybe) to make the gun more finicky.

That is correct. The Stinger case is fractionally longer than the standard .22 LR case. Most chambers will accommodate them, but not a correctly cut match chamber.

Not enough to justify the additional cost, if that were the only reason for buying one. There are a lot of folks though, who will gladly pay the extra for the slightly heavier, fluted and 2" longer barrel, plus the 1-15 twist which does more for accuracy than the match chamber.

Everything I see from S&W shows that ALL the 15-22s have a 1-15 twist.

I have a PC 15-22 and its a great gun but I think my daughters standard 15-22 is just as accurate as the PC.
