Does K/L cylinder latch fit N frames also???

I am looking for a thumb latch (cylinder release) for an N frame (M29-3) and have found one online for a good price that is from a Model 65 - will it work? thanks in advance for the assistance.

It will fit, though it won't be the same finish (the 65 is stainless, the 29 is blued).

Not this one . . . it's got a re-finish with Hard Chrome, Metalloy, or Electroless. thanks

maybe factory nickel-plated? Well, the thumbpiece and the gun will both be shiny, sure, but I've found nickel to be a bit...warmer?...in its luster (a little more yellow) than stainless.

But at any rate, yes, the thumbpiece should fit your gun.

ETA: please post pictures, if you would; I want to see the end result!

Pictures and the story (saga) are here. As stated there, the seller repeatedly claimed the gun was nickel, but I am really not sure what it is.
