A question in another thread (from someone with the BAN prefix) got me thinking...

Does anyone else own a S&W with a 3-letter serial number prefix that spells a word? If so, what is it?

Just curious... as I said in the other thread, I'm waiting for the prefix GUN.

A while back I bought a 686 8 3/8" online. It's prefix is BFR. My ffl transfer dealer cracked up. He just knew Smith meant it as Big effin revolver.

I have a BAD 66-2 2 1/2. By the way all the last digits are the same number (BADxxxx). Any more BAD Smiths out there?

I have 2 that could be construed as female names.

BEA
ANN

Also have a CAP....kinda like a Cap Gun?

I have a 3913 that I discovered after getting it home from a gun show buy it had my nick name as the prefix letters. It's a keeper.

The one on my Glock spells HAY. I only got one Smith with the three alpha serial number, there just random letters. Something like AZB?
