Oh, brother. what an idiotic response...obviously the tact taken by those that are quite used to blaming someone else! not MY dog, YOUR fault! SHE needs to be dope slapped, and if it takes filing a complaint to do it..do it both with the law AND the groomer needs to tell her to stay away.
I had a shepherd/rott mix, and he was TRAINED to not be aggressive.
The ndn across the street had two German Shepherds, the female (mom) and a male. The guy let them out of their fence, and walked across the yard. Well, they were off leash and, duh, they immediately took off across the road to our yard, where my dog was laying in the breezeway by my back door. I was in the driveway cleaning my car, and I heard a yell, and turned just to see something streak by me...the female Shepherd. The male was behind her, and I yelled, REALLY LOUD, "(dog's name)! NO!" (hubby says it kinda sounds like his old DI!) The dog Froze in his tracks, but the female broadsided my old dog (he had hip displaysia and mostly couldn't stand very well), grabbed him by the throat and had him pinned down. I hollered at her, and my neighbor on the other side of us, who had been working in his garden, came running with a hoe in his hand. Both dogs took off, the owner stood there and just watched them run home. He didn't say I'm sorry, or ask of Shi had been hurt.
Poor Shi was whining and we had to examine him to make sure he wasn't bleeding, but he was sore and his hips were hurting. I was more PO'd at the dumb*** neighbor than I was the dogs, but they could have at least apologized for letting the dogs get loose. Thank God, they finally moved.
Airweight .38 is good for yard work. nice and light. and nasty.
