Many of you are aware that Vista Outdoors, and their subsidiary Kinetic Group, own three of the four US based primer manufacturers, those being CCI, Federal, and Remington.

You may also be aware of the planned sale of their ammunition/component holdings to CZ.
As of this morning, June 27th, the sale is on hold!
Vista is now reconsidering an offer from Montreal-based MNC Capital.

More importantly, though the deal had been given clearance by the CFIUS, the DOJ is still in the early stages of an anti-trust investigation.
Two US senators, along with the National Association of Police Organizations, have raised national security and anti-trust concerns over the deal.

This is a developing story, so the various news feeds have conflicting information.

Here's what you can do!
Write your US senators to express your concerns! Vista should never have been allowed to acquire this controlling interest over our domestic ammunition and component production.
Tell your senators to urge the DOJ to not only block the sale but force the divestment of these holdings!

Thanks!

If you ever get bored, look at Vista/ATK/Alliant's history. It's an intresting read. The guys that owned the Powder company also owned the guys making missile power plants and trip flares.
