Double Barreled 22 mag Revolver

Yep it's ugly. Seems to me that timing would be really tricky with a setup like that.

While there seems to be this idea that innovation in firearms is slow, there seems to be no shortage of folks taking essentially two guns, smashing them together and saying "whola!" I will say this looks far more interesting to me than the two barrelled 1911 that came out a year or two ago.

Now that right there is the Edsel of hand guns.

Might be fun to shoot, but I don't know if I would want to admit I owned one.:D

It fires two rounds with each pull of the trigger? Is that OK with the ATF?

I was wondering that also. Maybe it's because it's a revolver vs a auto-loader??? IDK...

Either way it's rather ugly and I'd prefer 1 158 grain 38 caliber bullet over their recommendation of 1 FMJ round and 1 birdshot round... Additionally you can get a S&W that fires a .357 Mag in a gun that's 20% lighter than that thing.

Interestingly, they consider multiple simultaneous shots from a single function of the trigger okay, just not repeated shots.

Volley guns are specifically exempt from NFA machine gun classification.

Makes sense, right?

Well this is an interesting new revolver. Never heard of Standard Mfg. before. Yeah it's ugly but I'd still like to shoot it.

FIRST LOOK: The 8-Capacity, Double Barrel Standard Mfg S333 Handgun

That. Is one ugly...

They make some interesting looking 1911s, and they're made in America.

The American Rifleman gave one of their 1911s a very favorable review. Click here to read it.

Their products look to be quality made right here in the U.S.A.

Different strokes for different folks. Everyone doesn't like the same thing.

I could not agree with you more- everyone has opinions and choose firearms that best meet their needs/desires. But in this case, you get an 18 ounce revolver with only four chances of scoring a vital hit, and that with two small 40 grain projectiles. If recoil is an issue, a 22 WMR Ruger LCR gives you six chances in a lighter gun (I suspect with a greater chance of actually placing all six rounds where you actually want them). Better yet a .38 J-frame or LCR is lighter and gives you 5 chances with a much more substantial projectile.

Not arguing, however, that this is an extremely novel idea.....
