Double Standard

I found myself wondering who planted cameras to record the deed(s). I doubt the massage place did - why would they document their own illegal activity on cameras. That would seem to leave the police as having surreptitiously planted cameras. But if the police were aware of illegal activity didn't they have a duty to shut it down immediately rather than leave cameras running for whatever period of time? Or are we to believe they just happened to catch Mr. Kraft the first day they had the cameras running? I never seem to have enough answers.

The local news said that the police staged a bomb threat. They planted a backpack then called it in. Then they evacuated the whole strip center. While it was un occupied they planted the cameras. Pretty sneaky.

If he were not an old white guy the press would be screaming due process. But as it stands he doesn't have an adequate defense .

Cajun, your post brings to mind an exchange I had with my Mrs during the Clinton-Lewinsky episode. Mr. Clinton insisted the activity they engaged in "wasn't sex." I turned to Mrs and asked her opinion on the subject if I was involved in it. You can probably guess her response. One look was worth a thousand words.

A memory of the Mexican border towns: just before leaving El Diamonte Azul (the Blue Diamond) a college boy would be shown a photo of himself  and the question was asked "Amigo, you want your mother to see theees?"

Sort of "value adding"....

The issue seems to be more about the "ladies" working at that establishment being alleged sex slaves and victims of human trafficking. i.e., Kraft by his patronage is aiding and abetting human trafficking.
This bears repeating. Per the articles I read, the girls were tricked into coming from China for what they thought would be regular jobs, had their passports confiscated by the people pimping them, and were living in the massage parlor, cooking on hotplates, and having unprotected sex with multiple customers daily. They were rotated among other similar places.

I think prostitution should be legal, if everyone involved is adult, fully informed and consenting, but that is not what was going on here.

Which has double ought nothing to do with Kraft.

My wife's response to your post, "It's just disappointing. Both of them (Clinton and Kraft) should have been able to do a lot better."

I just keep thinking didn't he do the "Buy American" commercials?

Some of us here in New England are saying it was karma after he loaned his team jet to the anti-gun protesters so they could march in D.C. for gun control.

There are a couple of differences, counselor.

1. She is not Mrs. Robert Kraft. In fact, there is none as his wife died of cancer a few years back.

I'd guess that there are a couple of billion other differences as well. :)

Y'all might know that my wife is also a lawyer and works for one of the local judges. She's pretty familiar with the criminal justice system.
We were watching the TV regarding the brouhaha about Robert Kraft getting a summons for soliciting. She remarked that everyone is getting worked up over the consequences to him over basically was a misdemeanor charge carrying a max of $500 and up to 60 days in jail. She said that he would just pay the fine and move on.
I am thinking that if they substituted my name for Robert Kraft, her thoughts would be a bit different-she would have my boys in a jar next to her side of the bed.
I kept that thought to myself!
