OK, half a dozen dove breasts, dredged in flour with salt and pepper, browned in a skillet, then into the crock pot with cream of mushroom soup and a dozen fresh mushrooms, cooked on low for about 4 hours. Served over egg noodles with fresh rolls and butter, tossed salad, and a bottle of nice dry Reisling.

I love fall hunting season!

I do mine in mushroom gravy served over Louisiana popcorn rice with steamed fresh frozen veggies from last summer's garden washed down with Old South muscadine wine. This also works with venison, squirrel, and wild rabbit. Wild game fall and winter and fresh caught fish spring and summer.

Both recipes sound great. I love the crock pot for game.
I still have some walleye in the freezer for a football game snack or two.

Yum-Palomas el gravy :D
But I gotta go with Charlie on this one-I'm a rice man-those noodles are too slippery and don't hold the gravy like a bowl of rice.

i'm pulling out wild boar now ...both for the crock pot as well as the smoker...yum...all of the above sounds great...

I split the breasts in half, wrap them with a piece of bacon, and deep fry them in a good beer batter...even good cold.

I usually dice mine up and add them to a standard stir-fry recipe instead of chicken or beef. Add a Sapporo brew to top it off and you're good to go.
