DPMS make a great solid product. Nice set up and .243 is an awesome caliber for deer or most critters East of the Mississippi.

Very accurate, but just a range toy

I know the Harris is on backwards.

This model has a shell deflector, which I need as I shoot left hand. And it does not beat me up like a .308.

I looked at several large caliber AR-10 type platforms and for the price point and my needs selected the DPMS Oracle in .308. A LGS had it on sale for the lowest retail price I had seen and I happened to stumble on a Cabela's grand opening where I acquired a Vortex 4 x 16, side focus scope.

The rifle likes heavier bullet like the Sierra 175 BTHP and 168 BTHP match bullets but, it absolutely loves the Sierra 165 BTHP Game Kings bullets.

The target shows the last group at 100 yards. There is a metal silhouette target set up at 225 yards at our range. The rifle was 19 for 19 on that target with the cross hairs on the upper torso and the magnification set at 8x.
