Ok admit it. I watch it
Just once, I'd like to see a patient walk in and the doctoe comes in, takes a look, jumps back recoiling in horror and yells out "HOLY ****, I ain't never seen nothing like that!!!"
would make for much better TV. :D
Of course I am still waging my battle with the network about un-pixelating the naughty parts on Naked and afraid ;)

Ok, I admit watching it too.

If what you're asking for would happen, methinks we'd all be wanting that pixelation thing to kick in right quick. As is, some of that stuff is on the wrong side of "eeewww". If it would freak out Dr Lee, pretty sure that's something that doesn't belong on TV.

20 or so years ago I went in to the Dr. A spot on my shin was about the size of a half dollar and 'dead'. Doc said 'what the hell is that'. Best we could figure was a brown recluse, or scorpion. I had been on my knees running a new water line to my home wearing shorts.
Tom B.

The wife and teenage daughters watch it. I swear women have a higher tolerance for disgusting things. I remember seeing them eating pizza as they watched it on one occasion. I watched a couple episodes here and there. It's like a train wreck...if you observe it happening, you can't tear yourself away. Then you're hooked for the second half of the show just to see if the next one is grosser.

I had a couple of drs react like that last year. I haven't been back, those women made me nervous [emoji33][emoji23]

I get benign cysts from time to time and need them cut out, But mostly they are not full of pus. I have had my one son in law cut out 2. I did have a boil or something on my inner thigh a few years back. Had him lance that and a bunch of junk shot out. I keep a some disposable scalpels around, some stitch kits and a bottle of Lidocaine around. Ranch supplies have some dandy first aid stuff. You can also use those little excel carving knives they sell at the hardware store.

I had a quarter size lesion? of skin cancer cut off my shin about 4 yrs ago. Interesting removal procedure done in the office. Doc used a hole saw about the size of a 50 cent piece to cut down about 1/8" and then removed thin slices within the hole until cancer was gone.

Dewalt or Milwaukee drill?

Yeah, not really a watcher of the show but I have seen excerpts. Usually the focus of the segments seem to be a 'thing' the size of a softball hanging off the patient's neck, or something of that nature. I always wonder if the patient just didn't notice the aberration when it was merely the size of a golf ball.

About 8 years ago I noticed this man I would guess was about 65 get out or a car and go into a mom and pop type store. He was easy to spot as he had a growth about the size of a golf ball under his chin. It appeared to be in loose skin as it bounced from side to side when he walked.

Now I'm not a medical person but if it was me I would want that thing gone and not bouncing around. I saw a couple younger kids just stop and stare, definitely got to feel sorry for that man.

As far as watching that show, not on your life, the advertisements for it are bad enough!

my wife also likes the foot surgery show. and last month I went to my podiatrist about bunions and he took some x-rays and said he'd just saw the bones for the big and little toe, re-orient them and run a screw in to hold them in place. ARGGGG I have seen them do it on TV!. had it done anyway, very thin scars, had to wear a boot for about 2 months(little toe slower to knit), but outpatient surgery, I walked to the car, only took the good stuff for pain for 2 days and was pain free after that. now right and left feet look the same.

I've been watching the olympic each volley ball competitions, and i'm kind of surprised they don't pixelate those. if the women had normal (well MY normal) builds they probably would have to.

You have to roll your eyes at the double standard on US TV and society in general. They'll happily show your kids somebody taking a full mag from a MAC-10 in the face, but a small peak (or even peek:)) of a mammary and everyone from the FCC down goes into orbit.
