My LGS called yesterday and asked me to stop by: I did - instant shivers and sweats.

They just got two of my "I'm lookin for guns" and wanted me to see them: 1) M625 4" 45ACP PC (OMG) and 2) M67 4" 38 special (ditto). Both are brand new, handle great, triggers are sweet and suffer from very slight barrel misalignment so small I could only detect it because I am on this forum and really checked super carefully - on the PC piece I may be mistaken.

I want them, want them, want them . . . whaaaa, whaaa, whaaa. Of course I also want to hunt Montana next year (deposit due) and "need" a new rifle/scope , and I just bought a LWRC 223/5.56 with a scope and 16" match fluted barrel.

Anybody want to adopt a really nice daughter with modest needs? I'd even consider becoming a Jewish princess under the right circumstances . . . and, and, and _ _ _

Think I would ditch the AR pretty quickly and pick up the 45PC. You can always purchase another at a later date. Either that or time to sell a kidney...

I would definitely get the 625 now. I could be wrong but I think you can find a 67 in the future.
Sometimes if you think about need vs. want it can help control the fever. Yeah, sometimes. No it doesn't usually work for me either.

I have a 5 inch 625-8 which has been worked on by S&W to near PC form. Chamfered chambers, polished action an slightly lighter springs. Get that 625 PC if there is any way possible! You will have such a great time shooting moon clip .45 ACP.

Also have a 67-6 which is now my wife's favorite centerfire revolver. Put a Millet 3 MOA red dot on it. Superb accuracy with just about any 158 grain load.

You must buy the 625PC must must must,and ditch the grips with the tri color. Maybe he will let you pay it off. Then you need to learn to reload.

AND SHI_, now they have a 627 8-shot PC too (200 rounds and like NIB), my 3rd gotta have!!!! This is maddening. It's a private party and the gun is said to be pre-lock (haven't seen it yet) that the LGS is brokering for the owner.

This is sooo the crazy part of being addicted to wheelies; I also want to get an order placed from a custom shop for a lightweight 280 Ackley Improved and was just about to close the deal when all this came up.

I'm outing the light and sleeping on it.

P.S. The 627 is like one of my all time bucket lists guns, but god that 625 is just sooo sweet. I can still shoot my 686+ 4" in both 38spcl and 357mag and get the 625 (I really like 45acp). The 67 I'd like but could live w/o for now. Well, let's see - buy the 625 (?), skip the 627 unless the owner will sell for it a lot less than the $1K he's asking.

Rachel, I have been having to let go of things I just had to have lately to get by. Lost a lot in the past few years that meant a lot to me in people and dogs, too. Learning to let go is TOUGH. Problem is, I still have not adjusted back to anywhere near where I was at. Losing the things we love just isn't my cup of tea.

I've also learned my doctor wants cash for his Smith & Wessons, so I try not to call him for help.

When I had the cash, everything was fine buying these things. Trying to pick one out to let go just isn't easy. Also learned I can't take them with me when I go.

Happiness may be over-rated for some folk, but hard to find for others. If you're not careful, your teenager is going to pick up on what you are doing and want to go find a job. Enjoy her while she's young.

Does your LGS have layaway?

The layaway at my favorite Pawnshop is going to be the death of me but it has enabled me to collect some great Smiths.

Id have to recommend the 625. My 5" 625-2 is an amazing gun.

Firing my handloads of Precision Delta 230 grain FMJ's over Winchester 231, the revolver tears 2-3" holes out of the center of the target at 25 yards easily - and for others who shoot the gun as well.

I think it would do even better if I tried to build match grade ammo with lead or plated semi wad cutters.
