I am going to quote a great drinking song and say this “ 1 bourbon 1 scotch and a beer “ .Watched a motorcycle cop many years ago get waisted drinking and listening to that song at the local cop social club built on the local police range grounds . I was a kid .The other cops bet him he couldn’t drive that motorcycle around these 2 big pine trees in a circle 8 pattern 25 times .He made 6 rounds before driving that big ole Harley up one of them pines about 8 feet and it falling back on him. I was an LEO in Texas for 37 years and was always proud of my Law Enforcement heritage. A few years ago I was somewhat surprised to learn that an ancestor [ by marriage] was killed by the Texas Rangers when they closed in on his still in Goliad county, TX. As I recall, this was the third time they had braced him and he was told not to run and he did anyways. Well, cancel Christmas. This was in December 1926.

I could maybe understand drinking alcohol if it made you sharper or more physically able, but my observation is that it just makes people stupid and impaired. Why would anyone want that?

Everything damages us. It all depends on the quantities.

Oxygen, the very one we need to live, is killing us at the same time. Were is percentage in air of 35 instead of 20 and we wouldn't last a day.

Interesting thread just in the last couple weeks Argyle, Washington County NY went wet. They have been dry for over 80 years. It took that long to get a favorable vote to overrule that nonsense!

The had it on TV of the stores moving things around in their coolers to make room for the beer!
