Went on-line this evening to see if Colorado DMV is back to normal on driver license renewals. Connected to the website, clicked on the appropriate link, found myself with an option for on-line renewal.
Interesting! Pre-pandemic days, Colorado allowed mail-in renewals for those under age 65 as long as there were no recorded violations, suspensions, etc. Age 65 and up required a visit to the DMV office for (minimum) vision testing, plus additional hoops to jump through for those with a history of violations.
Fill in the blanks, give a certification under oath that I have had a vision exam within the past 3 years, make an on-line payment, and my new license will be coming in the mail in 10-14 days. OK, had the cataract surgeries a couple years ago, blasted out the old worn out original lenses, got new lenses (with serial number inscribed and wallet card), restored my tired old 70-plus eyes to 20/20.
Good to go for another 5 years!
