Drunk Revolver Purchases

That gun is great and the stocks, outstanding. They really make the piece. Leave the wood screw in, it's part of their charm! Just don't mess with them a lot and it should hold fine.

First I was gonna ask what you were drinking but you answered that so my advice is to keep on drinking, you are on a roll! You must be in a similar situation of a distant friend of mine, they did not know he was a drinker until he sobered up one time!

Are the grips Mexican?

I have absolutely no idea. I can't figure out anything regarding their origins. Threedflyer gave them to me, not sure he knows however.

There isn't anything about your revolver that I don't like. Plus, it and the holster look perfect together. And for some reason, the stocks remind me of trench art. The only thing I'd even consider changing would be to put a proper screw and escutcheon in the stocks.

I really love the old Eubanks holsters.

I would probably letter that one. Be interesting to see if the front sight is factory. Wouldn't it be funny if the stocks were very early original Ropers. Not Gagne Ropers but Roper Ropers.

The WOOD is GOOD!!! That is the 1st thing I noticed. I had every intention of asking where I could get a set like that. I have never placed a bid on a gun while drinking. (have looked though while doing so) I HAVE bid on S&W grips on ebay, while not clear headed. Did not win most of the time. Take it out and shoot it. I am sure it will attract attention at the gun club! Bob

Years ago I took a notion to buy some gold bullion coins. Came home from a party about half crocked, got on ebay, and in just a few minutes had bought 4 one-ounce Canadian maple leaves. Woke up the next morning appalled. That was when gold was $265 an ounce. Still have the maple leaves.

Sometimes good things happen.:D

I have never bought a gun while drunk. However, ther have been a few times that I bought absentee and then started drinking after the present arrived and I saw what I bought!

Drunk Revolver Purchases

I was a little disappointed when I first opened this thread hoping to see what a drunk revolver looked like but it turned out well getting to see a nice old revolver and interesting grips.

One of my smartest buys was done while I was running a 103 degree fever.I would not have spent that much if I wasn't delirious [emoji1]

This is something I would not have admitted to. Hope you took a cab home. If you're drunk when you shoot it, I want to be in the next time zone.

I never thought I would laugh at a revolver, but that gun is really funny- I love it!

Learned long ago the dangers of a few good drinks in the evening while having the laptop open, and on GB.
Also, got some neat stuff that way, so guess I'm still learning.......
