Dryer sheet in tumbler?

I tried used dryer sheets in my tumblers but found that they would strip the abrasive out of the walnut shell media too fast as they "cleaned out the dust." I saw no benefit to running sheets or strips of sheets in the tumbler, and I only wipe the inside of the bowl with an unscented sheet after emptying out the polished brass. That leaves a minor residue of the charge-dispersing surfactant on the inside of the bowl to prevent static buildup.

The only other use for dryer sheets in my gun room is to wipe down the outside of plastic powder measure hoppers to dissappate static charge and "clinging" of powder to the walls of the hopper.

JMO and experience,

Noah
