Ducks Unlimited supports Cap and Trade

Same old thing ...... Money in it for them so they are jumping on the big zero's program! But we can't single them out as I've been hearing similar stories about other wildlife orgs. Too bad when our "leaders" can't see the forest for the trees!

Thanks for the heads up. I just sent letters to Ducks Unlimited. I urge you to do the same.
Thanks,

"I am very disappointed to learn that Ducks Unlimited is in support of the Cap & Trade legislation now being studied in Congress. While I believe that climate change is occurring, I do not believe that the cause is man made. Not to say that we as stewarts of our planet should not support ways to keep a clean environment, I believe supporting Cap & Trade is misguided. As a result of Ducks Unlimited support for Cap & Trade Legislation, I will not be renewing my membership with Ducks Unlimited.
If Ducks Unlimited changed their position, I would be pleased to reconsider.
Thank you for your time."

I did the same... Sent it to everyone on their site and copied all of my friends that are members.

Did you notice it's not global warming anymore? Now it's climate change. That way if it goes the other way and we wake up to snowdrifts down here in Mississippi they won't be wrong. This climate change crap is being pushed so certain people can enrich themselves and gain control over the rest of us. Al "carbon credits" Gore and others are making millions off this. The climate changes. It always has. Why else would there be fossils of plants and animals on both poles? Let's bankrupt our country with this crap while China and India run us off the globe. Our so-called friends and enemies are laughing at us about this.

I just spoke with my local DU guy after he sent me this email:

"I am the Director of Conservation Programs for Texas and several other states.
No doubt, Climate and Energy legislation is ongoing and complex. Your information is incorrect that DU supports the current bills in Congress.

We are working to assure that any and all bills that move forward do have provisions beneficial to waterfowl, other wildlife, and private landowners who manage for such.

Please call my number below and let me explain to you what DU is doing, and not doing.

Thanks so much

He followed up with a new URL that has just recently been added:

Climate Change, Waterfowl and Wetlands

DU does not oppose this bill as they have gotten funding in it. Interestingly DU supporters are 25% hunters and 75% other. When I asked what they were doing about increasing interest in hunting, he said not enough.

Hey Leswad, I got the same BS answer from my Great Lakes Ducks unlimited rep.
Here's my response to him:
Bob, It would appear that it is you that doesn't have your information straight. This statement is from Ducks Unlimited own web page "We recommend that federal climate change and energy policies: (1) set specific limits on the nation's GHG emissions;

Here is the page it is taken from: Presidential Transition: Climate Change

If this recommendation is not support for Cap & trade, I think you are cutting a pretty fine point. Please clarify how setting specific limits on the nations Greenhouse Gas Emissions is not an element of Cap & Trade. It is still supporting junk science. Carbon dioxide is not a pollutant.

I eagerly await your explanation.
It will be interesting to hear the answer. My guess it I will not receive a response.

Carbon dioxide has a pollutant. This is how dumbed down our society has become. Carbon dioxide is plant food. The more CO2 the plants have the more plants and O2 they produce.
If these A-holes don't break us or starve us or allow our enemies to kill us they'll suffocate us! GEZZ! I'm glad I'm past the half way mark of life.

Groucho:

Now here is a little peninsula, and here is a viaduct leading over to the mainland.

Chico:

Why a duck?

[more back-and-forth between the two ... ]

All right, why a duck? Why a duck, why-a no chicken?

Groucho:

Well, I don't know why-a no chicken. I'm a stranger here myself. ...
