Duracoat experience?

Just bought a new Model 10...really don't like the glossy blue. Has anybody got an opinion on Duracoat? A gunsmith in my area says he can give my Model 10 a parkerized/matte black look.

Welcome to the forum, why screw with the finish and lower the resale of the gun. If you don't like it, trade it in on a model 28 with a matte finish.

By the way, how much would the resale value of a Model 10 be? I've only shot around 100 rounds through it...

Bought it new for $600.

Price varies greatly by area, but a ballpark estimate for a lightly used gun in perfect condition might be about 80 - 85% of what they sell for new on the general market. You can check Gunsamerica for prices on new and used guns to get an idea.
