DWfan ..Rest in piece.- UPDATE!- Paul is not dead!

Our beloved member DWfan passed away in October. This was learned on anothe thread ( pre 29 ) He will be missed here.....Thread.... 29 no dash accusation

I had NO idea, thanks for passing the information along.

DWfan may you rest in peace, and prayers sent for those you left behind.

Seems like just the other day I was posting info about my hometown in SC, after he asked for info about prospective locales for relocation. He's in a better place now. RIP DWFan.

People with his level of skill and craftsmanship are few and far between. Old style artisans are getting more and more scarce. I'm sorry to hear of his passing.

Well, dammit!
I met Paul years ago at an SWCA Annual Meeting. I forget which one. We conversed a bit via email and PMs over the years. I'll miss him.

He was a generous supporter of this forum, and I'll always appreciate that. He wasn't bashful about prompting others in his salty style: New guys
Paul was a character!

On a purely selfish note, this is sad news indeed. Both Swamprat (Hugh Clark) on the Colt Forum and now DWfan (Paul Gendron) gone - both artisans skilled in wood restoration. I hope someone is taking up the torch for both.

The fellow in this thread is confusing his messages- http://smith-wessonforum.com/s-w-ha...-dash-acquisition.html?posted=1#post140295405

Does anyone know for sure that Paul has died?
I did more checking, and he was positively logged in here in December- last month!

All I heard is what the OP stated on his thread after he sent DWfan a message.I too saw his log on in December but assumed it was his son in case some members had stocks in for repair.I noticed his last post was in August.I hope the OP is confused and that Paul is still with us.

Just now found this post. Very much regret to read of his passing. May God grant to his loved ones that grace and mercy which He has promised to all who place their faith and trust in Him. Sincerely. bruce.
