Here's what 3" M19's should look like.

. Only 3inch I have is a M65.Got my 3" 66-3 in 1988 IIRC. At the time they couldn't give them away; was told they had been on a Distributors shelves near Harrisburg for a year.
It was the age of the "Wonder Nine"
I prefer a revolver for woods carry so had my Gunsmith get me one.....$270 OTD with the action polished. Dad [retired police Capt.] saw mine and asked me to get him one.
Came across a used 3" 66-4 in a local gunshop around 2000 for $225.
Already had a 3" 65 [1986] w/ action job and bobbed hammer, which is the gun I'd grab...... so the 66-3s are pretty much NIB. The 66-4 has become my EDC revolver.
Like Smithnut I like Spegel boot grips!
