Early 357 Ammo

Nice Ed. I haven't seen that one. When does it date to? It looks like a '20's box but it must be after the 1935 Red, Yellow and Black box.

I don't know the date but figure it is a 30s box due to the WRA on the front. It sold a few years back with a box of USCCo .357 but I never could obtain any info on it. Maybe Dave knows (or maybe he bought it). Never have seen another one.
 
after reading this thread those looked familiar. found these and a Remington box in the garage. probably 44 rounds in each. one with small primers and one with large. now to find the box of pointed police ap from the same era.

The Peters cartridges could certainly be pre-war. Who is the manufacturer of the metal piercing ones you mentioned?

Probably Western. I am not sure Winchester ever made a pre-war metal piercing .357.
If your Remington box has a product number beginning with R, it should be pre-WWII. If not, most likely postwar.
