already warned about makeing / helping in the kitchen. but peeled/ cut carrots, on the not small size, boiled 5 min., drained/ butter and brown sugar melted slow in pot to finish still w/ firmness, kids love the carrots. my wife's french val./ cream cheese frosting w/ coconut sprinkled cake, strawberrys on the side, sister bringing pineapple upside down cake, i do green giant white shoepeg corn, like eating it off the cob. secret not to over heat the shoepeg. it is what makes special holidays a great family /friends getting together.

Were going to my DILs mothers house for Easter. She loves to cook and put out meals. There will be including the cook 9 people there.(for the record she is a very good cook) When she cooks she always thinks and says aloud "I hope I have enough food!"

Normally she has enough food to feed 30 people well. We will have the traditional ham and a good roast beef as entries and about 8 different side dishes to complete the meal. Dessert you could gain 4 pounds on just this day alone. She tends to get very upset if she thinks you do not eat enough.

At the end of the day we normally take home at least 4 full meals to put in the refrigerator. :D

I am making a beef brisket with a mashed potato bar as one of the side dishes. Butter, sour cream, cheese, crumbled bacon, sliced green onions. It's popular with guests.
