Easter

I was a sick pyromaniac as a kid. The peeps would burn nicely if they didn't listen to me. They were only yellow, none of these "new" colors. Jelly beans were slingshot ammo. Solid chocolate rabbits only. Wife always buys me some sort of big chocolate egg that I need power tools to cut. I let them sit around until she eats them. Too much work to enjoy one. A bread knife works great as a chocolate saw.

Goombah Easter:

Antipasto/Salad, wine.
1/2 hour later:
Risotto (yellow (saffron)rice, chicken livers, sausage, mushrooms, wine).
one hour later
Baccala (cod with red sauce) wine
one hour later
Ham/Turkey, roast potatoes, mashed potaroes, polenta, veggies, wine
one hour later
dessert; fresh pastries, home baked cookies, ice cream, coffee (with or without grappa), wine
Cigarettes/cigars, wine, aperitifs.
One hour later; hit the road/ dinner/ nap.

I miss it every year. Joe

You jelly bean fans should check out the Jolly Rancher original flavor jelly beans. They are only available this time of year and IMHO the best out there. I switched from Starburst to them a few years ago and like them much better.

The original jolly rancher plant was a few miles from my childhood home. That place smelled gooood!
