They did? I hadn't heard that - - when did it happen? I just bought my CA-Compliant 15-22 a few months ago.

I live in Ca as well and unless some law went into effect in the last couple days then the M&P15-22 is still not considered an AW "yet". They were readily available Nov 3 at the gun show in Daily City. Lots of mags as well. Even the controversial "mag kits" were still for sale.

Meaning no disrespect to victims of shootings, I think that Wall Street and the banks have ruined more lives than guns. I don't see the politicians trying to clamp down on them.
