Eddie Adams
Thank you for this post. I certainly hope to see the Eddie Adams documentary. I hope it
helps change the public image of the General Loan who executed the Communist Terrorist,
a Captain, and head of a team that had the mission of assassinating General Loan's officers'
familes during Tet 68. Said terrorist had already slaughtered several when captured and brought before Loan. Loan realized that it was necessary to make a public example of this
terrorist to show his men and their families that he, Loan, would not tolerate the slaughter of their families. I believe Eddie Adams eventually realized that Loan was doing the right thing, at the right time, and regretted that his picture of Loan had been used by the anti-war activists to further inflame public opinion against the Viet Nam war. There is a lesson here, that sometimes what must be done must not be made public.
