ejector locater pins?

I have a couple of smiths that are missing the small pins on the back of the cylinders that register the ejecter star. Is ther an easy way to replace these?

I make new ones by clipping off pieces of music wire of the right dia. and Loctite them in their holes. The outer ends of the pins should be ball-pointed before installation in the cylinder. I don't remember the correct size of music wire, but there is one that is very close to the factory pins. You can buy small quantities of music wire at smallparts.com.
