Elapsed time until membership accepted...

I'm curious about the normal waiting time before membership is accepted in the S&WHF...I mailed my applications and checks for both the S&WHF and the SWCA on the 3rd of this month...My SWCA membership #3657 was accepted within a few days, but I haven't heard anything from S&WHF in those two weeks...Neither check has cleared my bank yet, but I'm just wondering what the normal turnaround time is...My only real concern is whether the USPS may have misplaced my mail (again)......Ben

Email Sheryl Cheely at [email protected] to check the status of your membership. I would not be concerned with the delay at this point.

I'm sorry to report that after taking Bill's advice and emailing Sheryl last weekend, who replied with a nice message saying she would look into it that Sunday and get back to me the same day, that three days later I've still heard nothing...Am I to think I couldn't pass a background investigation, or maybe the check I sent looked suspicious?...I really don't know, maybe it just takes more than three weeks to be accepted......Ben

I just got an email from Sheryl Cheely saying my membership was accepted, so now I'm a happier camper......Ben

If your looking to get a letter, just put PENDING where the SWHF membership number goes. I accept those.
