Before I put my display away due to the horde of relatives which are scheduled to descend upon mi casa tomorrow, I shot some pics of the Winchester, U.S. Cartridge Company, and Peters boxes of .38 Special ammo. Apologies for the clarity, or lack thereof.

Very nice collection...and I REMEMBER some of those boxes when they were actually in circulation! This brought back some memories, for sure.

A beautiful photo! I remember seeing some old boxes of my dads while growing up, but at that time it never occured to me to save them. I even found a box of the old "paper" shotguns shells in 12-gauge that were my grandfather's. A cousin and I shot them. :(

Hello

One more thank you for posting these boxes. I also like seeing older ammunition boxes.

About the GI Tracer ammunition box, is that WWII era? My Dad was a gunner in a TBM Avenger during the War. He has mentioned several times about carrying Tracer rounds for his revolver. He also mentions that they would use steel wool to remove the paint (I think red) off of the bullet.
Thanks
Mark
