All nickel plating done by S&W has always been electroplating. As W.E. said, it is a method or process, not a finish. Most plating, regardless of the metal used or the reason for application, is done by electroplating. One major exception to this is "electroless nickel" which is a strictly chemical process. Electroless nickel can be either matte or bright depending on how it is handled after plating. FWIW, all nickel, or any plating for that matter, is matte when it comes out of the bath. The bright finish is achieved by polishing after plating.
