Ah, so we must leave the "majestic" animals only and only kill the, what, truly hideous beasts? Please. Man hunts dangerous game because it is dangerous. All game in Africa is well-used by the locals when hunted legally. The PH died as he lived; like a MAN!

Neh. If man hunted to prove how "manly" he was he'd do it with what he was born with. Shooting an animal from a distance isn't "manly".

This guy used packs of dogs. Yea....tough guy! Man's man!

Unfortunately animals don't get to come back when hunted illegally.

On a proper elephant hunt you stalk to within 20 or so yards I have shot them at as little as 25'.

Who said man hunted to show how manly he was, would you defend yourself against someone trying to kill you with "what you were born with"? I guess there no fixin stupid,

Do you own a gun to show how manly you are I guess not, as you can rely on what you were born with which goes back to my last statement.

Hunting leopard with dogs is something I would not do as its not true sport.

rattlin around in my brain.

I LIKE hunting. I think it's great. I love a good hunting story and dangerous hunting is super exciting and raises your hair and all kinds of good feelings.

The thing is. I've hunted a little, but not any more. I'm just not into it. If I ate what I killed, no prob, but I don't do wild food. I decided that I COULD kill a wild hog if I had to, because those things are so destructive.

No I get it. Key words FOR DEFENSE. As in IN CASE I get attacked for no reason! Like I'm walking and minding my own business when suddenly a lion jumps out

Not that I know of. Most bear hunters I know of in Virginia use them too.

I hunted Whitetail Deer all my life with dogs. Never seriously hunted them any other way.

They were not hunting elephant. They walked up on the group and was charged. The PH shot the charging elephant but unfortunately another elephant charged from the side and picked up the PH. Another member for the group shot the elephant and it fell on the hunter.
