Friend has some he wants to sell. From what I can find, this particular type has been discontinued.

Thot to ask here before going to the silhouette sites to which I am not a member.

Eley has been some of the best of the target ammo produced. How old it this stash and how was it stored? Kyle

From early 80's IIRC. Was stored in dry basement There are single packs of 2 50 rd plastic boxes, each pack factroy sealed in cellophane.

I Googled it just now and found the current Brown box standard is $4.99/50 but the box looks different.

(Was wondering how these would shoot out of my old Remington 510 Targetmaster, but would have to get it at less than $50 a brick :) )

I have a Remington Model 511 (basically the same rifle as the 510, but with a removable magazine instead of the tubular mag of the 510.). It shoots the Eley Standard ammo (brown box) really well. In fact, I used that rifle and ammo for years as my go-to squirrel rig. I love those old 500 series Remington rifles and Eley ammo.

I just may have to try it then.

Thank you for the information. (Those old Remingtons were something weren't they? I've had my 510 since 1955 or '56. I have yet to find a trigger that makes 'breaking glass rod' as meaningful :)

ps - The 510 is a single shot. I had a 581 Tube fed that I (foolishly) sold. Actions alone are selling for real money these days :(
