Elite Shotguns

Does anyone have any experience with the Elite Series side by side shotguns? All I know is that they look great and are made in Turkey.

I normally wouldn't consider a gun not made in the USA but these have me curious.

Just took delivery of my new S&W Elite sxs 20 ga. with 28" barrels. Wood and workmanship is very nice. Haven't shot it yet. Looks as good as some $4k+ guns I've looked at IMO.
Receiver case coloring is stunning.
Should be a great grouse gun.

They do look great and that's why I started this thread. I'm just curious about them because I haven't really seen any real world shooting stories. I also was intrigued by the butt on them; checkered wood. No plate or recoil pad.

I'd love to hear a shooting report.
