Elon's Starlink

For those of you, like us, that don't have access to other forms of broadband, just a note that we've found Elon's Starlink to be pretty darn good. The speeds do fluctuate according to available satellites in range but boy what an improvement. We can actually stream stuff now.

Starlink download speeds range from about 35mbps to to 150mbps. Uploads range from about 4mbps to over 10 mbps. Contrast that to our previous very inconsistent ADSL of at a rare best of 2.7mbps down and 256kbps up. And usually much lower. Larger normal downloads were often an all night affair with frequent failures. ATT wasn't good to us at all.

So if you need broadband consider Starlink as a viable option.

I don't have the service, but we really enjoyed watching that string of satellites passing directly above us. Two nights in a row and we had crystal clear skies.

Think I'll stick with my cable, but it's good to know Starlink works for those in your situation.

Just did another test. This time 183.57 over 14.46! I realize that pathetic to many of you, like TX-Dennis, but to me those are miracle speeds. Just absolutely blazingly fast. I wouldn't know what to do with 800.
