I was at my LGS a couple weeks ago and ran across this Engraved M66. It got my attention and since it was there on Consignment, I thought it was fitting to make an offer. Well my offer was accepted. I had no idea who had done the engravings but what I like about it is that it's not overdone.
The research began and I came up empty at every turn. No engravers signature or anything except this one thing that was different.
There was this little tiny Wagon looking engraving just under the S&W Rollmark. I ended up on an engravers forum and wouldn't you know it. Someone knew who the engraver was. My M66-2 got the attention of Mr. Roger Bleile who just happened to know the engravers mark as Mr Vernon G. "Vern" Wagoner. How about that. I think my purchase was a pretty lucky one.

Enjoy the pics

Love that minimal engraving. Most engraved guns, are too busy. This to me, is just right! That is a beauty!

I understand why you have those grips on it, but I would need grips that reveal all of the engraving.

They do reveal ALL of the Engravings, lol. I guess you would have to know and see it with the Stocks Off to understand
