ENNE-FRAME presentation to the community

Hi,
of course, you can buy and carry on firearms only with the license. Need a training to handling firearms
There are 3 licenses:
1) for self defence, for a professional reason, you can buy all firearms permitted, but you can carry on only handguns concealed from 1 to 3, no rifle or shotgun.
2) Hunt license to carry on rifle or shotgun. You can buy all firearms but you can carry on all rifles that you want, only during the hunt season.
3) Sporting license, you can buy all firearms but you can carry on only the firearms that you use in your sporting shooting discipline.
G'day from Sydney Australia.

Thanks for the info on your gun laws. I take it that you need some sort of a licence before you are allowed to purchase a firearm? Or can anyone just go into a gun shop and buy one? Do you need extra training or qualifications to carry concealed handguns?

Cheers.

Welcome from the Commonwealth. Sounds like we have a lot in common as well. S&W’s, motorcycle’s, food and drink. I’ve made several trips to your beautiful country, always by motorcycle. Either a R or K bike from BMW. The wife is 100% Italian. Maiden name is Toscano.

It is nice to hear that Italy is not a no-gun country like so many others around the globe. I clicked "Like" on the details about Italy's gun "rules" but I wanted to find a click for "EXCELLENT! LOVE THIS!!!!". ;)

All that shines is not all gold.
Here in Italy the real problem is the extreme difficulties to obtain the license for self defence, the other licenses are easier but with those you can't carry on handguns loaded ready to use, you can bring them unloaded in a bag while you go to the shooting range or to hunt in the right season.

Welcome to you, Marcello, I followed your opening threads in the upper forums with great interest...My only knowledge of Italy is from 50 year old memories of a very enjoyable leave I spent there in the mid sixties when stationed in West Germany...Maybe you'll get to visit Texas some day......Ben

Hi Ben
thanks for the welcome.
I was in Texas in the far 1996 for the Shot Show in Dallas.
Great land and great state.
Unlucky i made the trip with the wrong partner.
Anyway i went to Austin, Capital City, nice town and there i bought a nice carved and rowhide laced belt to Lavaca heritage saddlery shop down town.
After we drove to Dallas, shot show for 3 days, after i went to M.L. Leddy's boots in Fort Worth, to crowned a dreem: own 3 pairs of serious cowboy boots. After Dallas to El Paso visit El Paso Saddlery to buy the Duke rig with a distintive suede money belt, so to Rocketbuster boots to buy a fancy boots.
I remember that one evening after dinner outside Dallas found a Rodeo in a littel village, was great pleasue live that absolutely true experience and not for tourists. Indelible memory.
I'll be back soonest.

I was at all the Dallas SHOT Shows in the 90's and most of the Las Vegas shows...So we likely crossed paths and didn't even know it...And I'm very familiar with having the wrong partner, but divorce court fixed that...

Well next time you're here at least you'll already have the right footwear...:D...Ben
