Indeed, but wasn't there some kind of carbon credit they got for fitting the system?Right, except the EPA test doesn't measure gains from stop-start.

Don't know what you are trying to say. Yes, it will shut the motor down in the circumstance described by bigggbruce. You can apply theoretical beliefs to problems, but your information will always be inferior to real world data. In this case the real world disproves your theory.

I went from a 2000 Echo, bought for $1600, to a 2013 Prius C, to the new one I now own. When I end up behind one of the very rare "coal rollers" of the ancient past, I just switch the vent to recirculate. As far as the OPINION of the ride quality of the latest generation Prius, which matches the acceleration of a 1970 340 Barracuda, while averaging 65 MPG ( in my case), I respect the progress made to try to mitigate the environmental degradation we leave to our next generations. I never tried to make any single defamatory remark from anyone on the opposite side of the discussion into a single disrespectful comment. That would require me to make a comment like "not appreciating the cancerous crap that pours out of your tailpipe" or some other disrespectful post, even if it is true.I'm all for you having the vehicle that YOU wish to drive/have
As for me, I have absolutely NO desire to ever drive a Prius, or ANY vehicle like a Prius
Also, I would never consider a Prius to be a "luxury" vehicle, but if you consider it to be, good for you
I'm glad you like YOUR vehicle, please respect that not everyone likes your Prius, nor wants one
No offense, but I could care less what kind of mileage your Prius gets, I don't want one, nor would I ever purchase one, EVER

They have made recirculate buttons for decades now and they work well
A post is my observations. You can just not read them if you want or make it automatic by "ignoring" my posts.
