Long time S&W user and fan. First duty pistol was a Model 15. Became an M&P fan big time carried 1.0 and 2.0 M&P 40 on duty till I retired. 78 years old and slowing down. Tried to avoid the new Equalizer as I didn't think I needed it. Recently reevaluating my carry pistols. Old time 1911 user. Very disappointed when it became obvious that my hand strength has deteriorated a bunch. Yesterday I took delivery of a new Equalizer put a quick magazine through it looked good. Today took it down to my pasture range for a thorough work out. To borrow a phrase from my 15 year old Grand-daughter....OMG. Easy to handle, perfect size, trigger is great. Did some fast work at 15 yards, from IWB holster, draw, front sight, trigger press. All shots on 12 by 24 inch steel. Not a target group but 'minute of chest cavity', a bit to the right put par for my course. Slower work from 25 yards, from low ready single shots, double and triple taps. Better group due to slower speed and concentration. Still a bit right (I am a lefty) Will hit my range again tomorrow to adjust the sights but darn do I like this son of a gun. It will probably become my EDC. If you are considering getting one do not delay anymore....do it. Great pistol.
