Silly question alert!

I have this smooth factory trigger I’d like to have installed in my 1979 66-1. I will keep the original serrated part. Does it really matter if the smooth trigger is age appropriate? It’s my ocd that’s making me ask lol. Thanks.

No silly questions, just stupid answers and I hope this is not one of them. I have a smooth trigger on a Model 65-5 which is one of the reasons it is my favorite shooter. I can shoot that revolver double action better than any S&W I own. So, I say, the revolver is yours to customize according to your needs. Sounds like your 66-1 will be a working gun and not a safe queen. I say go for it. 65-5.1.jpg
