Just received these checkered stocks made from cocobolo wood by Esmeralda. Her work is very nice and I think they dress-up my Ruger from the factory black plastic panels.

She has other styles for Ruger MK II & III rimfires, but the simple fully checkered stocks suit the purpose I use this pistol for, (knocking about the woods and carrying while hunting Indian artifacts).

Those are very nice and dress up your Ruger.
I have some old Hogue stocks on my MK2, I wish they were checkered.

I like both the Esmeralda grips and the Hogue's pictured above . I actually have several pairs of grips for Mark II's & III and swap them out from time to time for a different look and feel .
I have several pair of the older Mark II thumb rest target grips both laminated and walnut . I keep a pair on my MK II Competition Target model since it originally came with those grips and I find them rather attractive. You used to be able to buy them in the $40-$45 range but I see them selling on ebay quite regularly for around the $100 mark and up if they are in particularly nice condition.
I also have a couple pair of Herretts in Rosewood and Walnut . They feel very nice in my hand and look pretty good too.
Another set of attractive grips are those that originally came on the MK III Hunter . A very good looking darker and nicely grained laminate that is checkered only on the bottom half of the grip .
And of course the Hogue black rubber grips that I think look pretty decent on a stainless gun and fit my hand quite well .
Now it might sound like I've spent a small fortune on grips but actually they were purchased over a period of time and at good prices ...used in most cases and I could resell any of them for at least what I paid for them and in some cases more.
