Estate sale find

Why, oh, why does envy have to be one of the 7 deadly sins? Great find, congratulations. Best, Joe

What a great find!! Now you will tell us that you paid a $100 for the two of them and really make us feel good.

I hope the OP only paid that much too! I gladly offered $500 for the round butt Nickel J frame that had less than 100 rounds thru it, and $600 each for the blued "J" round butt and the nickel square butt in the pic below. I'd pay that again all day knowing how good they've all been and the use I'm getting out of them. The Colt "D" is my wife's self defense "purse/Jeep" gun... It's getting a Tyler T for her little hands. If they fit my big hands well I know she'll love it similarly equipped!

This one is getting the most use as of late with the addition of the Tyler T. (2) more Tylers on the way now!

An FFL friend of mine get a lot of estate guns, ammo and reloading supplies. About every 4 months we have a sale at my house, as I have a big garage and plenty of parking. The sales start at 9:00 am the customers show up around 7:30. I should start selling breakfast. The rare ones go fast, the older pre-lock Smiths just fly out the door. Ammo we sell at a great price as we don't want to move it twice.

Excellent score. You don't see the 4" Model 48's very often. There is probably considerable loss of velocity from the .22 WMR (or .22 MRF as S&W called it) in the short barrel, but the fun factor from the huge ball of flame at the muzzle has something going for it too.
