I like Kanewpadle's reasoning, but would not add "Design." I like it short and to the point: Snubby's Custom Leather.

Also takes advantage of the fact that you are known on this and other forums, as you point out.

"Made in the USA by The Groovy Injun".
Peace brotha.
Snubby's Fine Leather.
That's a good one too.
How about "Blackfoot Leatherworks"
Chipmunk6
:D
Thought of that, but I'm not representing the whole tribe. Like if I get something that's Navajo made it's not representative of an individual artisan but the entire Navajo Nation.
And your problem with that? :D
Hey, can we stay on topic here?
I know I never participate in any kind of thread drift.

Z&N Leatherworks

Am I the only one who sees the obvious? Again? "Leathergoods" sounds small, not good to sound small. "Leatherworks" has the appropriate ring to it!

"Z&N"? A no-brainer. I won't bore the membership with the significance of Z&N. This allows you to lay low, hang in the background, a smaller target, if you will. Problem with a product or service? Let me ring Mr. Z. I'm sorry, that line is not picking up. Would you like to leave a message? ...Accounts payable? Mr. N. handles that and he's not in today. Can I have him call you?

I worked in a small company for a few years. You have to be creative, conjure up departments, invent employees. Upstairs offices...Just don't allow anyone on the premises.

I like 'Blackfoot' in the name. People looking to buy anything Native American, including those overseas, may see the site which is what you want even those not looking for a holdster. Eventually, they will come across someone actually looking for a holdster and may direct them to the site. It certainly is unique enough to stick in someone's memory; Blackfoot and custom holsters.

I would lose the 'leatherwork' though. When I think American Indian + leatherwork, I think of moccains and deerskin shirts and pants.

I also wouldn't worry about using Blackfoot. A tribe is its people which includes you. I think any Blackfoot would be proud with the goods you produce to represent them.

You bring up a very valid point. It's true that I'll have holsters in my inventory (in fact, I've selected some patterns and I've started on some holsters for my inventory) but this kinda stuff'll also be part of my inventory.

I've also sold my tomahawk to a collector of American Indian art.

I'm gonna havta make another one.
I have run into people who were reluctant to own American Indian art because they had no Native blood themselves.
